Hugging Face MCP server connects assistants to Hub assets

Hugging Face documents an MCP server that lets compatible assistants search and use Hub models, datasets, papers, Spaces, and related tools from clients such as Claude, VS Code, Cursor, LM Studio, Gemini CLI, Claude Code, and Codex CLI. Why it matters: MCP is becoming a practical integration layer for AI workbenches. A Hub-backed server can make model, dataset, and paper discovery available inside the same tool interface used for agent tasks.

Try this: Test the server in a non-sensitive assistant profile, grant only the minimum Hub permissions needed, and verify whether search results include enough metadata before using it for source discovery.
