AI Signal Desk is in a free beta. This page explains, in plain terms, what is collected, how it is used, and the promises that come with it.
What is collected
If you join the free beta, AI Signal Desk may collect your email address and any optional answers you submit about your role, interests, or the AI topics you want filtered.
Who processes your email
Signups are handled by Kit (formerly ConvertKit), a third-party email service, which stores your address and sends the field brief on AI Signal Desk's behalf. Joining uses double opt-in: nothing is sent until you confirm through the email Kit sends you. See Kit's privacy policy for how they handle your data.
How it is used
- To send beta updates or sample weekly briefs.
- To understand what kinds of AI signals readers want more of.
- To improve the editorial format before choosing paid tooling.
No selling
AI Signal Desk will not sell your email address or beta feedback. The beta exists to test whether the field brief is useful, nothing more.
Unsubscribe
You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email from the field brief, or by contacting the address on the contact page.
Analytics
AI Signal Desk uses PostHog to understand how the site is used: page views, performance timings (Web Vitals), and product events - newsletter clicks, source-link clicks, week navigation, archive filters, and the terms typed into the archive search. It is configured cookie-free: no cookies are set. A random, anonymous identifier is kept in your browser's localStorage so returning visits are counted once; it identifies a browser, not a person, and never follows you to other sites. Your IP address is discarded at ingestion and never stored - only an approximate, city-level location derived from it is kept. There is no cross-site tracking, no session recording, and no advertising. See PostHog's privacy policy for how the data is processed.
