Self-driving companies need permission layers

Amjad Masad says Replit is using internal agents across engineering, support, sales, BI, and marketing, connected to tools like GitHub, Slack, GCP, Linear, Zendesk, and data warehouses. Why it matters: The productivity chart is not the part to copy blindly. The real operating surface is what the agents can touch, when they escalate, and how humans review work before it becomes company state.

Try this: Map one internal agent by permissions first: tools it can read, tools it can write, required approval points, escalation owner, and rollback path.
